Laser Cladding Treatment to Enhance the Corrosin Resistance and Surface Hardness by Electrophoretic Coatings to A283 Steel

Laser cladding (LC) is a laser-based surface modification technology that has been widely adopted for the development of thin layers operate under harsh conditions. Corrosion contributes to approximately 50% oil and refinery equipment failures. These major risks require sophisticated methods improve performance. LC promotes generation superior properties on substrate surface, which improves service life. To reduce corrosion failure enhance life cycles, we conducted electrophoretic deposition (EPD) Ti Ni powders directly coated them A283 steel alloy, was alloyed by ND-YAG remelted alloy. The microstructure, element distribution phase analysis sample were studied optical microscopy, field-emission scanning electron X-ray energy-dispersive spectrometry, atomic force microscopy diffraction methods. results indicated coatings with fine metallurgical bonding comprised stable FeTi FeNi illustrated two different regions solidification microstructures. process powder feeding EPD applied, improved mechanical properties, behaviour, transformation structural optimisation microstructure laser mixed zone. Melting showed coating produced treatment had smooth top surface. In addition, have proven case delivered required Moreover, this more environmentally friendly alternative traditional preparation treatments.
